Weather… It’s unpredictable in Utica, NY. Today we had a major ice storm. That means it was raining and freezing cold.
Most cities close down. Even though I wasn’t feeling 100% I had to try to get out of the house for a little bit. My wife and I took a trip to a local watering hole and had a beer.
Most of the residents in the Mohawk Valley stayed in but the “die hards” were out. We needed a fix and to in some way or another to socialize.
I ended up at a place called The Green Onion in south Utica. Thank god. They were serving up great tasting craft beer and Rio Grande Tex Mex. This was quite a relief for us. We got to have a delicious snack and not go crazy in our house.
While everyone else in Utica is worrying about their driveway and tomorrows forecast we cut loose and had a couple if beers with others who needed to get out.
Everyone was very nice and helped make sure you didn’t slip and fall, and the bartender even bought us a drink just for making it out through the storm.
As always I say make the best out of your situation. I’m going to make the best if mine. Let’s preach that to everyone. More and more people will catch on… and we will once again make Utica, NY great for everyone who lives here and around here.
