Living in Utica, NY we’re truly blessed. We have all the accommodations of city living, and we’re just a short drive to some of the most secluded places mother nature hid in the Adirondack Mountains.

Here is a picture I took when out hiking on a trail out to grass pond. Although we didn’t see any people. It was obvious we were not alone.

I was so amazed to see the work of the beaver in real life. For a minute I thought it was man made, or some trick. But it was the real deal. This beaver’s dam was about 50 yards away. I was hoping to see it come back for these logs but knowing the beaver, I’m guessing it was busy.

Getting out of the city, and heading into nature is something every human thinks about but not all can do.
