It still freaks me out when I meet a new person and they ask me what does moe. mean? They say “I see stickers all over, on cars and everything“. At that point I’m kinda laughing and thinking man are you gonna shit when you find out.

moe. is like one of the best bands ever, and they are home brewed. Born and raised right here in Central NY. Sure you might not see them on MTV, but I don’t think MTV has played videos since 1998. That was just about when I started listing to them. moe. is one of the many bands that created and continues to create music that influences me to be a better person and give a damn about myself, my habitat and everyone around me.

You might not even hear moe. play on the radio. This independent band has their own label… I think its called “Fat Boy” and they encourage you to download their music. Mostly because it’s so freaking awesome. They have made their own mark, this year I will have seen over 100 of their shows. Every time I see them It is mind blowing and I’m always meeting new people, People who’ve traveled from Japan, or Oregon just to see them play because they love them.

The music that pours out these guys is so amazing that it always reminds me just how powerful music is. Sometimes I feel that its such a part of my life I almost convince myself that the music is only playing the band.

If you haven’t seen them yet, they always do a couple of shows at the Saranac Brewery, and then they end their summer tour with a huge music festival right here in Central NY called moe.down. I suggest you get a little taste while you can, or before they are gone.
