Christmas came early this year when Todd Williams of South Utica set up a huge Christmas star on a 60 foot tree on outside his home on Brookline Drive Road in South Utica.

It’s Breathtaking and this star can be seen clear as day from any passerby’s on Route 8 and maybe Genesee Street and who knows from where else. The first time I saw it it was surprising and now it creates a warm feeling for me during the commute.
It’s so nice to have seen this kind of Christmas and community spirit by this Utican I’m very happy that he has done such a thing and look forward to seeing that bright star for many more years.

Thanks for the kind words iloveutica315! This is my husband, he’s an experienced rock climber. He told me a friend asked him to make a star for his pine tree in the backyard. I said, “cool, that will be really pretty”. Not thinking the star or tree would be THIS BIG. Then I got the pictures. It’s beautiful and we’re glad the community is enjoying it!
