If you’ve been following me on my social media networks or reading my blog then it’s no surprise that I love Utica, NY. It’s my home. If I could I would spend everyday helping people understand how great it is here in Utica, NY.

This is a great project the kids from Munson Williams Proctor Institute put together to help bring awareness to out of towners, new potential students, and the bad apples who don’t think there is anything good in Utica, NY. It’s called “The Couch” I was honored when they asked me to be a part of it.

Not only was it about how awesome Utica is, but they are trying to create a buzz through social media. This combination is right up my alley.

I brought my own surprises to the couch. They invited me, but I came with my good friend Terry Sardelli too. He plays in one of my favorite bands Woodenspoon. Him and I make the best out of Utica, making sure we’re having fun, telling jokes and trying to help everyone around us have a great time.

That’s what we did when we sat on the couch. I thought why not give them the real deal. Of course I talked about all my community involvement, my social media endeavors and how I work in advertising trying to help local companies grow. But together Terry and I brought some humor and gave the project the Utica flair it deserved.
