Just walked back into the house from a nice workout with Marley, we went skijoring through the Twin Ponds Golf Course in “New York Mills, NY”. I got into skijoring last year and it is a real cool winter sport that lets you include your dog.

When the snow comes a golf course doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Sure a few kids go sledding on the steeper slopes but there aren’t hundreds of people paying $40 to work on their slice.

Valley View in Utica is a great place they actually groom a lot of the trails and that makes it easier for beginners. Twin Ponds is right in my back yard so its ideal for a quick ride.

For those of you who don’t know what skijoring is… It’s a winter sport where the human wears cross country skis and the humans dog wears a harness with a line connecting the human and the dog. I built my own set up, but they sell them online.

It’s a killer workout, even in the freezing cold I still break a sweat.
